Since we officially use TeamSpeak 2 for BFSupreme, here is all the necessary information you need to get the application installed and connected.

First, download and install the TeamSpeak application. It can be downloaded from here:
TeamSpeak Client Download

BFSupreme TS information:
Server Adress: 72.233.92.170:8767
Server Password: (You should have gotten this from an Admin)

Then you can set up teamspeak thru the following client walkthru:

Step 1. Once installed, execute the application. You will be presented with the following:

Step 2. From the Settings pull down menu, select the Sound Input/Output Settings.

Step 3. On the Sound Settings dialogue window, select the "Push to Talk" option in the Voice Send Method section. Then click the "Set" button and select a button or key that you will use to activate your microphone in order to communicate. When complete, click the Close button.

Step 4. (OPTIONAL but RECOMMENDED) In order to get the best clarity in regards to audio input and output, it is recommended that you configure TeamSpeak 2 to utilize your Audio card's hardware drivers. To do this, select the Options menu item from the Settings pulldown menu, and select the Sound Devices tab. If your audio card supports this, select the "Wave" option from the Sound Driver section. When complete, click the OK button.

Step 5. (OPTIONAL) If you are annoyed by the audio alerts when players enter or leave the rooms, you can disable those alerts by selecting the Options menu item from the Settings pull down menu. From there select the Sound Notifications tab and either selectively disable the alerts for the specific actions, or disable all sounds by checking the "Disable all sounds" checkbox. When complete, click the OK button.

Step 6. Now you are ready to connect to the BFSupreme TeamSpeak Server. From the Connection pulldown menu, select the Connect menu item.
(IMG:http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/1127/ts6jd3.jpg)

Step 7. Under the Servers entry on the left, right mouse click and select "Add Server". Then enter a descriptive name for the server - e.g. BFSupreme TS Server. Once added, make sure it is highlighted and enter the information on the right as displayed below. The Label will match the Server name by default, and your nickname should be your full name with the correct army/division tag format. The password is (you need to acquire this from an BFS Admin) (the asterikses). Once all the information is entered, click the Connect button.

Step 8. Once connected, you should be presented with the following window or similar window. The various panes may be resized to your liking:

Now that you have successfully connected, you need to register yourself with the TeamSpeak Server. Registering allows you to enter other channels on the server, as well as setup your own User Login name and password (which ensures that when you logon, it is you, and not someone else using the same name).

Step 9. To register, select the "Register With Server" menu item from the Self pulldown menu.
(IMG:http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/8774/ts9zs3.png)

Step 10. On the "Register With Server" dialog window, enter your player name (without the tags) and a password that only you will know. Click Register to accept the entries.
(IMG:http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3280/ts10vw8.jpg)

Step 11. Now, disconnect from the TeamSpeak Server and open the "Connect to Server" dialog window again. Enter your player name (the one without the tags) in the User Login field, and replace the existing password with the password you entered when you registered in the previous step. Click Connect when complete.

That's it. You are now registered with the TeamSpeak server and you can switch between the channels. You do not need to re-register with this server anymore. If any of your tags change, just modify them in the Nickname entry on the "Connect to Server" dialog window.

Also if you are interested here are a few overlay programs to run with TS.

Teamspeak Overlay This program has been out for years and works well. (TSO is not compatible with Windows Vista see their forums).

Schmads This program works with any keyboard that has a LCD screen (G-15 or G-11). By running this program you can see different information on your LCD instead of your monitor.

Ngists This program is about the same as Schmads. I currently run this one over Schmads (don't ask why I just like it better).
